MiniMint for podcasters
A podcast is the best possible source for short-form video and the worst possible thing to edit by hand. An hour of conversation holds a dozen moments worth posting, and finding them means scrubbing the whole hour. MiniMint transcribes the episode, scores every candidate moment against the kind of clip you asked for, and returns finished vertical clips with captions burned in — so the work becomes choosing which ones to post rather than hunting for them.
Check this first: your episode has to be a video
MiniMint clips video. It accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM or MKV files and links from YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch or X, and it cannot take an MP3 or a WAV — an audio-only show has nothing to reframe or caption on screen. If you record video alongside the audio, or publish the episode to YouTube, you are ready. If you do not, this is not the tool for you yet, and it is better to know that now than after signing up.
How do I turn an episode into clips?

Point it at the episode
Upload the video file, up to 5 GB, or paste the link if the episode is already on YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch or X. Anything from one minute to three hours works, so a long interview is fine.
- Step 2
Say what kind of clip you want
Talking is the default genre and it is the one tuned for interviews and podcasts. Then pick the angle: best highlights, speaker insights, controversial takes, educational, emotional, or product mentions. That choice steers which moments get chosen, not just how they are cut.

Let it run
Clips come back 30 to 60 seconds long, in 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts or 16:9 for YouTube, with word-by-word captions already rendered in. You do not need to keep the tab open — MiniMint emails you when they are ready.

Brand them and post
Open any clip in the editor to trim it, change the caption style, add your own music, or attach an animated intro and outro built from your logo. Then download and post. MiniMint does not publish for you.
What do I get from one episode, and what does it cost?
One credit per started minute of the episode, whatever number of clips comes back. The clip counts below are what MiniMint asks the renderer for — it caps that against what the episode actually supports, so a quiet hour can return fewer.

Why podcasters specifically?

Questions podcasters ask
- Can I clip an audio-only podcast?
- No. MiniMint needs a video source — an MP4, MOV, WEBM or MKV file, or a link to the episode on YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch or X. There is no audiogram or waveform mode, so an audio-only show cannot be clipped until you record or publish video alongside it.
- How long can an episode be?
- Between one minute and three hours. A three-hour episode is inside the limit. The file also has to be under 5 GB, and if a long recording exceeds that, exporting it at a lower bitrate is normally enough — the analysis works from the audio and the pacing, not from the pixel count.
- How many clips will one episode give me?
- It scales with length: about 5 from a ten-minute episode, 24 from a 45-minute one, 32 from 90 minutes, and 42 from anything over two hours. That is the number MiniMint asks the renderer for; the renderer caps it against what the material actually supports, so a quiet episode can return fewer.
- What does one episode cost?
- One credit per started minute of the episode, whatever number of clips it produces. A 45-minute episode is 45 credits. Captions, reframing and the transcript are included in that; a branded intro and outro is charged separately, by the second of animation.
- Does it handle two speakers?
- The Talking genre, which is the default, is the setting intended for interviews and conversations, and reframing follows the aspect ratio you chose. MiniMint does not claim per-speaker camera switching — if your recording has separate speaker angles, treat the clips as a starting point and adjust the framing in the editor.
- Can I get both vertical and horizontal clips?
- Aspect ratio is chosen per project, so one run gives you one shape. Running the same episode twice gives you both, and costs the credits twice, because the renderer processes the episode again.
