Privacy Policy

Effective date: To be set on launch · Last updated: To be set on launch

This Privacy Policy describes how MiniMint handles personal information when you use our AI video clipping service.

1. About MiniMint

MiniMint is an AI-powered video clipping service. We help creators turn long-form videos and YouTube links into short, captioned clips formatted for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

2. Information we collect

Account data. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and optional profile information.

Content you submit. Video files you upload, YouTube URLs you paste, and metadata you provide (titles, settings, intent).

Generated outputs. Clips, transcripts, captions, thumbnails, AI-generated scores and explanations, and processing metadata.

Usage and device data. Logs, IP address, device and browser information, performance metrics, and analytics events.

Billing data. If and when paid plans are introduced, our payment provider will process payment information; MiniMint does not store full card numbers.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide and operate the clipping, captioning, reframing, preview, and download features.
  • Run AI processing on submitted content to generate clips and metadata.
  • Authenticate accounts, prevent abuse, and secure the service.
  • Diagnose issues, improve performance, and develop new features.
  • Communicate with you about your account, important changes, and support requests.

4. Third-party processors

We share the minimum data required to deliver the service with trusted processors, including:

  • Reap.video — AI video clipping and rendering.
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
  • Hosting, analytics, and (when applicable) payment providers.

These processors are contractually required to handle your data only as instructed by MiniMint.

5. Your content responsibilities

You must own or have explicit permission to process the videos and YouTube links you submit. MiniMint does not condone unauthorized downloading, scraping, or copyright misuse. You remain the owner of your content; you grant MiniMint a limited license to store and process it solely to deliver the service to you.

6. Storage and security

Uploaded videos and generated clips are kept in private storage with access limited to your account through Row Level Security policies. We use encryption in transit, scoped credentials, and follow standard industry practices, but no system is perfectly secure.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated content at any time by emailing privacy@minimint.app. Some logs may be retained for security and legal compliance.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may impact functionality.

10. Children's privacy

MiniMint is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. International data transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
